Leah Popielarczyk, M.S., LMFT-Associate
Specializing in Adolescent Trauma, Early Marriage, and Individual Healing
My Approach:
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey toward resilience. I integrate evidence-based tools to help clients move beyond simply “talking about” the past to actually healing the nervous system. Whether you are a parent seeking support for your teen, a couple building a foundation, or an adult processing your own story, I provide a non-judgmental space to navigate life’s most challenging transitions.
Areas of Focus
Kids and Teens
Adolescence is a season of profound change. While it is a time of self-discovery, it can also feel incredibly overwhelming as teens navigate the weight of school, social media, and family expectations. I provide a supportive space where teenagers can talk openly about struggles such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and identity concerns.
For teens experiencing self-harm or deep emotional distress, we work together to understand the roots of these behaviors and replace them with safety and resilience. My goal is to help teens feel heard and empowered while working with families, when appropriate, to strengthen communication and support at home.
Early Relationships & SYMBIS
Feeling safe, understood, and connected is essential for a long-term partnership. Whether you are newly dating, engaged, or in the first few years of marriage, this is the time to set the “relational blueprint” for your future. I specialize in working with premarital couples and newly married partners to develop healthy patterns before challenges become larger problems.
I am a certified provider of the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) program. This nationally recognized assessment provides a high-definition look at your relationship—exploring everything from personality dynamics and conflict styles to how you will handle finances and family-of-origin influences. Together, we use these insights to build stronger trust and a healthy foundation for your life together.
Individual Healing & Trauma Recovery
Adulthood often brings major transitions, but it can also surface emotional challenges rooted in earlier chapters of our lives. Many adults find themselves struggling with anxiety, depression, or the lasting effects of childhood experiences while trying to manage their careers and relationships.
I specialize in helping adults process trauma, childhood abuse, and the impact of difficult early life experiences. Using evidence-based approaches—including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)—I help clients process painful memories and build emotional well-being. My goal is to help you move forward with greater clarity, self-awareness, and confidence.
