Navigating Relationships: A Lifelong Commitment
At the core of our well-being lie our relationships. When they falter, every dimension of our life feels its tremors. If you’re reading this, I commend your courage in seeking support. Taking that initial step is never easy, and I’m truly honored you’ve considered my practice as part of your journey.
For over a decade, I’ve delved deep into the intricate world of human connections. My experiences have further cemented my belief: nothing nourishes our spirit more than the bonds we share with our loved ones.
My mission? To guide you and your partner through the labyrinth of emotions and experiences, helping you rediscover the joys of your relationships. I also want to empower you with the tools and knowledge to turn disconnection and conflict into healthy communication and connection.
Drawing on an extensive academic background and rich clinical experience, I aim to determine the root causes of the rifts in your relationship.
Together, we will arm you with effective communication strategies and new ways of understanding each other so that you can be a united team, even amidst disagreements.
My therapeutic stance is both integrative and collaborative.
Grounded in research, I employ methods that have stood the test of time and scrutiny. With every session, I strive to create a safe haven of understanding devoid of judgment and blame.
My professional journey has led me to develop a deep understanding of betrayal, trauma, and the repair process.
I have also successfully helped couples navigate a wide variety of differences, from family conflicts to communication challenges to issues stemming from autism, ADHD, and mismatched desires or sexual styles.
I’ve dedicated years to developing effective interventions to aid couples in navigating these challenges and the aftershocks of infidelity, always believing in the possibility of repair and rejuvenation.
I hold a doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy from Texas Woman’s University, a master’s in the same, and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. My expertise encompasses emotion-focused therapy (EFT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and sex therapy. I’ve also received specialized training in the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy. Presently, I’m progressing towards full certification in sex therapy through AASECT.
Outside my practice’s walls, I’m a dedicated educator, teaching graduate courses in marriage and family therapy, specifically related to trauma, couples counseling and sex therapy. I’m also continually working towards publishing research on couples, trauma, and health—topics I’ve passionately presented about on both local and national platforms.
As the founder and lead clinician of this practice, I remain ever-committed to your growth, healing, and relationship harmony.
