Supervision FAQ
Who am I as a supervisor?
I am an AAMFT-approved Supervisor and a Clinical Member of AAMFT. I have worked with families, couples, and individuals for the past six years. I believe that supervision should be a collaborative, safe, and inclusive experience. As a supervisor, I aim to make therapy and supervision a supportive place for everyone, especially marginalized and oppressed groups.
As a therapist and supervisor, I work primarily from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens and have had advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I have a background in sexual dysfunction and sex therapy and have been trained in EMDR. I think it is essential for therapists to work on continually expanding their “tool bags.” So, I also incorporated various models in my work and supervision, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal theory, Gottman, and Relational Life Therapy.
